French Toast & Crème Brulee

Ingredients:

  • 50 grams of low fat butter 
  • 70 grams of low calorie pancake syrup 
  • 80 grams of brown sugar 
  • 50 grams of orange liqueur 
  • 8 slices of French bread  
  • 3 big eggs 
  • 120 grams of egg substitute   
  • 5 grams vanilla extract 
  • Salt 

Preparation:

  1. Add butter, syrup, sugar and orange liqueur to a pan and cook until blended. Add the mixture to a baking dish. 
  2. With bread slices (no crusts), add to the baking dish to cover the entire area. 
  3. Whisk the eggs, egg substitute, vanilla, orange liqueur and some salt, then pour over the bread on the baking dish.   
  4. Cover well and chill over night. 
  5. Place in a pre heated oven (355 degrees) and heat until room temperature. 
  6. Remove the cover and bake for 3/4 of an hour until puffed up. Serve with fruit and low fat cream.
