A lot of people try diets these days and fail. Most
people want to lose weight effectively and just don't know how. Dieting is the probably one of the hardest
tasks you will ever have to conquer as a human being. Many individuals are resorting to a sugar free diet for
their weight loss efforts. There are a number of benefits of a sugar free diet, but why is it such a
difficult process to accomplish, to stay of sugar?
The majority of people grow up with
desserts and sugary foods. Sugar is at most happy occasions that we know such as Birthdays, Easters and
Christmas's. Its a tradition to have sugar treats on these occasions and just by plain badness, these treats
just seem to be the worst for weight gain.
Trying to completely cut out these sugary foods to aid in
weight loss can result in severe cravings, mood swings and other unintentional side effects. Finding
alternatives to your persistent sweet tooth can be a daunting task, however not impossible if you have a
little patience. I know your sick of hearing this but fruits and vegetables will do the trick, as always. By
baking apples or pears whilst simultaneously adding cinnamon, raisins or biscuits along with cream and
raspberries and strawberries will produce a wonderful little treat.
Now the big problem that most people hate to face and that
is their nemesis, 'chocolate'. It's so common that it's almost impossible to get rid of. So the answer to
that problematic situation is to NOT get rid of it. Simply use lower fat ones or melt down sugar free baking
chocolate to produce a dipping sauce which you could use for fruit such as your previously baked apples and
pears or with cherries and strawberries.
Other chocolate treats such as chocolate pretzels for
example could also be made by yourself using sugar free baking chocolate. In fact the sky is the limit with
this simple alternative. This sugar free chocolate may take time getting used to but at the beginning, add
sugar, then reduce the volumes over time. Before you know it you will not be consuming any sugar and your
cravings will have vanished.
Fizzy drinks such as Coca Cola are
difficult to cut out. Try your hardest to use an alternative such as a sugar free juice with soda
water to repress your cravings. This is a real advantage as soda can really mimic the flavours as regular
sugars and so over time should be easy to adapt to skipping these drinks.
Breakfast is a
completely different matter altogether as a lot of people will resort to the 'no breakfast' rule which I have stated many times
before, will do you more harm than good. Then others will
generally have a sugar free yoghurt which is not enough for the main meal of the day. Breakfast should consist of
carbs and protein to kick start your metabolism and give you an energy boost. Adding a product such as Granola to
your yoghurt can give a good source of carbohydrates and consuming some protein is necessary. This could be
accomplished by chicken, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs or even a protein shake. It is quick, cheap,
fast and easy.
Mix your diet up, have fun, try new things and you will get
thinner. Just be more cautious to what you eat but don't kill yourself doing
it.
